Randall Taylor:
vocals, guitars, bass, drums & percussions,
keys, traditional woodwinds & strings

Randall was born an 'August Child' in 1964 - the Year Of The Dragon - during what seemed a time of chaos
and re-birth and re-building. His love for song came early. He comes from a musical family where everyone
plays at least several instruments improvisationally. He began studying music and the French Horn at the age of 8, and
soon grew a curiosity and a passion for musical instruments. At the age of 12 he formed his first band and wrote
his first song and has been active in-group or as a solo artist ever since.
Though he considers himself primarily to be a Folk artist, his style range includes: Country, Rock, Blues, R&B, Bluegrass,
Funk and New Age. His influences include Robbie Robertson, Jeff Healey, Leonard Cohen, Ottis Redding, Emmylou Harris,
Stevie Nicks, Tom Petty, Neil Young, Buddy Redbow, XIT and Redbone.
Besides
writing Randall loves to hike and explore. He enjoys the solitude in the natural way of things and, as a songwriter,
he tries to inflect this love for nature and the land.
Randall is a self-described "Indigenous Taoist". For him music has always been about what moves, like a diary of his
road, often a refuge and seldom a comfort but always at his soul. He currently resides in Hinckley, Utah.
